LANCIA FLAMINIA 2.5L 3C SPORT ZAGATO

Lancia Zagato "double bubble" in concours condition - frame off restored

Our favourite design option from the three available Flaminia coachworks is without doubt the well-balanced Zagato design with the firm’s trademark “double bubble” roofline (the other available coachworks came from Pininfarina and Touring). The vehicle was built in multiple series.

Our car has been built in 1963 and it is equipped with the desirable 3 double Weber carburettors (2.5L 3C). Only 174 models were built of this version.

The car has been finished in a beautiful colour scheme “Grigio New Market” with its perfectly maintained original interior in pelle “Nero”.

  • 1 of only 174 built 2.5L 3C
  • This Lancia Zagato Sport has been restored frame – off  by our workshop
  • “Scuderia Azzurra” concourse condition
  • Beautiful color combination ‘Grigio New Market’ with leather “Nero”
  • Complete frame off restoration
  • Engine, gearbox and technic complete rebuilt (engine with 500 km from new)
  • Full and detailed photo documentation of the whole restoration process
  • Restoration completed after two years of work
  • The Zagato comes with a 12 month workshop-warranty

‘You see that car? Is it different from all other? Then it’s a Zagato.’

Dr. Elio Zagato

The Lancia Flaminia Zagato Sport combines two of the oldest and most prestigious names in the Italian automotive industry in one model.

Lancia was once the noblest of all car manufacturers, with a tradition of innovation and absolute technical excellence, while Carrozzeria Zagato has always been and still is one of the most respected Italian engineers and coachbuilders.

The Lancia Flaminia Zagato Sport is therefore the ultimate tribute to both companies.

First presented at the Turin Motor Show in 1958, the Lancia Flaminia Zagato Sport was designed by Carrozzeria Zagato and built from spring 1959 to 1964.

The characteristic feature of all Flaminia Sport and Flaminia Supersport models was the Zagato-typical double bubble roof construction (two bulges above the occupants’ heads), which ensured good headroom and body rigidity.

The headlights had streamlined fairings, and the 2.5-litre 3C engine had three Weber carburettors, which increased its power output from 119 hp to 140 hp, giving it a top speed of 190 km/h.

With these features, this model quickly became the favourite of industrialists, the beautiful and the rich, who were too posh to show off with their vehicle.
