Extremely rare Sprint Zagato in Concours Condition - Alfa Romeo 2600 SZ
As from 1964, the 2600 Sprint Zagato headed the Alfa Romeo range in terms of price and performance. The car was developed with design solutions that were ahead of their time. The model was available until 1967 with only 105 vehicles being produced.
Our car has been produced in 1967.
It is a rare Matching Colors and Matching Numbers car.
It was delivered new directly to the Alfa Romeo dealer in Newark, New Jersey.
Original colour sepcification as confirmed by the Certificate of Origin issued by Alfa Romeo Classiche has been ‘Grigio chiaro metallizzato’ with the interior in ‘Skai nero’. We are planning to finish the car in the same specification except a customer expresses a wish for another colour.
The matching engine comes with a confirmation by the original factory invoice.
The car will be restored to concourse condition. We have already completed the restoration of the frame and the body and are starting now with the preparation works for the painting.
We will of course also do a complete overhaul of the engine, gearbox, suspension, brake system etc. and we have no doubt that it will be one of the best AR 2600 SZ available once the restoration is completed.
